Dear diary,
This first week of class there has been some aspects that got my attention such as:
For instance, students could number themselves from one to five, depending on the number of members the groups must have. Afterwards, students with the same number would get together and start working.
Personally, I would use this estrategy to make groups because I think it is simple but effective if you want to make groups fast and in a dynamic way.
There is a brilliant song that will help me with it that says:
🎵
1, 2, 3 look at me,
1, 2, 3 look at me,
4 and 5 do the jive,
6, 7, 8 concentrate.
🎵
🎵
I would definitely use this technique to get students attention because I think it is a gentle way to make them look at you, make silence and listen to you.
3. How important are good instructions.
Good instructions are the main point of every assessment, if students understand what are you asking for they could probably be able to do it.
I have realized that giving instructions slowly and repeating them more than twice if it is necessary is a good method to make sure your students will know how to do the activity. For this reason I will always try to give clear and paused instructions in orde to help them understand what they had to do.

I think before starting any topic we should let students to brainstorm some ideas about what they would like to work on and how, in order to introduce them into the topic right at the begining. I would let brainstorm my future students because it is also a tool that could help me, as a teacher, to develop ideas or activities about certain aspects that maybe I wouldn't have thought about but my students want to know more about it.
5. How important is to chek if students are following the class.
At some point of the class it's important to ask to some random student if they have understood what has been explained.
I would use this "checking technique" because I think it is very important to know if your students are following you and understanding everything you are explaining in order to could keep going on with the lesson. And, more over, that when we tell them to do an activity they could know how to do it because they have been paying attention during the explanation.

6. A method to get students attention.
The teacher showed us a method to could start a class or to get students attention easily by singing a song called "Wind the bobbin up":

I would use this song to get students attentions because I think it is catchy and students would like it very much and because it is a gentle and dynamic way to get their attention.
7. A document where I can find the evaluation criteria for each primary grade.
I appreciate that the teacher has shown us this document because I think it is a very useful tool to help me as a future teacher to have a little knowledge about how could I evaluate depending on which course I am teaching to.
